Call between Jurgen Klopp and Kylian Mbappe’s father as new transfer chase is begun

As Kylian Mbappe approaches the PSG exit door, Liverpool appears ready to resume their pursuit of the French superstar. This is not the first time the Reds have made an effort to sign the player.

In an effort to expedite Kylian Mbappe’s transfer to Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp called the player’s father.

This summer, the Frenchman is anticipated to leave Paris Saint-Germain. His decision not to sign a new contract with the Parc des Princes has already been made official. Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia have already made a huge £259 million offer in an effort to sign him.

PSG welcomed that offer, but Mbappe has declined to negotiate. That has given Liverpool, who are in negotiations for a spectacular loan deal, access to the door. The Reds have made attempts to sign the World Cup champion in the past.

According to reports in France from 2020, Reds manager Klopp spoke with Mbappe’s father in an effort to persuade the striker to transfer to Anfield. While Mbappe acknowledged that negotiations had taken place, Klopp’s call did not result in the striker signing.

The Frenchman claimed, “We talked a little bit, but not too much.” “We exchanged a few words. My mother likes Liverpool, so I spoke with Liverpool because they are her favorite team.

“I have no idea why; you must ask her! We first met them five years ago, and they are a terrific club. I met them when I was in Monaco. It is a sizable club.

Liverpool’s interest in PSG star Kylian Mbappe has returned.

While Klopp did not disclose that he had spoken to Mbappe’s father or the French striker directly, he did acknowledge that he was a tremendous fan. He did, however, add that the Reds wouldn’t be able to afford a transfer.

Real Madrid, a Spanish powerhouse, is a competitor of Liverpool in their pursuit of Mbappe. The PSG star has been linked to the La Liga team for a while.

However, with the £88 million initial cost of acquiring England midfielder Jude Bellingham, they have already made significant summer spending. Real was rumored to be looking for a new forward after Karim Benzema left the team.

Joselu, a former forward for Newcastle and Stoke, was also acquired on loan from Espanyol. In addition, Liverpool paid a combined £95 million to recruit Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai from Brighton and RB Leipzig, respectively, to bolster their roster.

We are not deaf, so of course we are interested in Kylian Mbappe, he remarked. Actually, I have nothing to add to that. It’s everything set between Kylian and Liverpool. It’s all good now.

Naturally, we like him; otherwise, we’d have to question who we are. However, we are not allowed to and are not able to fight in these wars. There must be participation from other clubs, but that’s fine. He is still an excellent athlete.
