As Manchester United fights to capture the Barcelona star, it now appears that they have two agreements in place for Frenkie de Jong.

Despite the fact that the Barcelona star is hesitant to leave the Nou Camp, the Red Devils are confident that his solid rapport with Ten Hag will result in the midfielder making a sensational move to Old Trafford before the deadline next month.
In order to replace Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, who left the team earlier this summer for Juventus and Roma, respectively, United knows they need a top-tier midfielder.
Amid Chelsea’s persistent pursuit of De Jong’s signature, they also presently have two agreements in place that are noteworthy.
De Jong’s initial purchase price from United is £63 million, which would make him the most expensive signing in Reds entire history.
Only Jadon Sancho, Harry Maguire, Romelu Lukaku, and Paul Pogba have joined the team to play more.
De Jong would also surpass Angel Di Maria, who moved to Old Trafford from Real Madrid in the summer of 2014 for a staggering £59 million.
The second contract, which was made public on Wednesday, is with the player’s agency.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Dutch journalist Marcel van Der Kraan shared this information. He said: “I understand, here in the Dutch end, that Frenkie de Jong is still an absolute top priority for Erik ten Hag and the club.
Regardless of what Frenkie says in Barcelona, they are unquestionably not giving up.
“They have an agreement with the player’s agency, and it simply relies on what happens in Barcelona’s political office over his salary, which they still owe him.”
The saga now seems to be coming to a close.
In an effort to settle the player’s signature once and for all, De Jong’s representatives and the player himself met with Barcelona on Wednesday.
According to numerous sources, his future at the club will become apparent within the next 48 hours.
Additionally, Barcelona’s desire to sell seems to be expanding as a result of their current difficulties registering some of their recent additions.
Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen both made early summer transfers from Chelsea and AC Milan, respectively, to the Nou Camp.
But if Barcelona is unable to register them in time for Saturday’s La Liga opener against Rayo Vallecano, they may be forced to forfeit the duo for free.
United is still interested in De Jong, but they are also keeping an eye on other midfielders.
They are sure that they will be able to sign Adrien Rabiot, who is wanting to leave Juventus after three seasons in Turin.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is reportedly a favorite of both Lazio and United, and the Lazio player scored 11 Serie A goals last season.
In the meantime, Jamie O’Hara, a former star for Tottenham, recently criticized United’s pursuit of De Jong as “embarrassing” and urged them to go elsewhere.
Moving forward is important, O’Hara urged Sky Sports News. It was a joke. Now that they’re still trying to pursue it, it’s almost embarrassing.
It won’t happen if it hasn’t already happened. We’re talking about Manchester United here, one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“I realize they don’t have the biggest pull now because of how the club has changed, but if the player is still saying, “I don’t want to go, I want to stay at Barcelona,” and they are wasting time trying to resolve the unpaid salaries, let them go.
There are many other elite players available for you to recruit, and you don’t want a player to end up joining the football team somewhat against his will. That just doesn’t feel right to me.
He also added: “If Manchester United had called me in my peak, I would have immediately boarded a plane and said, “I’m going to Manchester United,” as would many other players.
“Okay, see you later, we’ll get someone else if a player says, “No, I don’t want to go.”
