Ajax Chief gives Manchester United optimism in their chase of Antony by saying, “That is logical.”

Ajax technical manager Gerry Hamstra acknowledged that although the club is not anticipating any departures with relation to Antony during an interview with Voetbal International, as reported by Manchester Evening News, there is a chance that things may change.
All summer long, United has been interested in signing Antony, but a deal for the talented Brazilian has not actually come together. It remains to be seen if Ajax makes any concessions, as they are likely to demand a high price for the player.
Hag, who is currently in charge of United, is aware of Antony’s talent. In 2020, he transferred him from Sao Paulo to Ajax, where he became one of the most exciting young wingers in Europe.
The former Ajax manager has already been successful in persuading former Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez to join him at Old Trafford, and it appears that he will continue to scout his previous club for further talent.
Without a doubt, Antony will be a valuable addition to Man United, and given that he previously played for Ten Hag, he might not have a hard time fitting in. However, it makes sense if Ajax demand a high price for the player.
With no significant progress on either side, the commotion surrounding this particular deal has subsided in recent weeks. Man United may not have backed out of this agreement just yet, but they do have other transfer priorities.
When asked about Ajax’s future, the technical manager acknowledged that they are trying not to let the core of the team leave, but he also acknowledged that other teams have a propensity to concentrate on Ajax players.
“I assume that no longer anyone exits this core. I’ve come to understand that you can never say never. But we also have discussions about it with the players, including any youngsters who might want to quit. Players from Ajax are drawn, which makes sense.
