Only two members of the current team have given Liverpool a penalty in regulation time, and both may be unavailable to Jurgen Klopp for the League Cup final.

Although Klopp will have his list of possible takers ready, Liverpool is no stranger to penalty shootouts, so he might not be able to call upon his two reliable convertors.

Only Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah have scored goals for the Reds from the penalty spot during regulation time.

When it comes to penalty conversions, Salah has dominated, netting 31 of his 38 attempts, whereas Nunez has only scored once in his two Reds appearances.

With the exception of shootouts, no other player has been given a chance. Additionally, Salah and Nunez are both seriously injured, meaning Liverpool may be left without two choices if a penalty is called at Wembley.

Dominik Szoboszlai has shown that he is dependable when shooting from 12 yards; nevertheless, he is also questionable following a recurrence of his hamstring ailment a few games prior.

If they fail the late fitness tests, Liverpool may not be able to use the three penalty takers in the League Cup final.

Furthermore, just six of the 15 penalty takers from the 2022 cup finals are known to be available for the match, and only 10 of them are still with the team.

In the unlikely event that Salah is not selected, Klopp would probably look to Alexis Mac Allister as his primary penalty taker during regulation time.

Throughout his eight career tries at senior penalties, the Argentine has only missed one, showing consistency while at Brighton.
