The Egyptian has vowed to stay with the team, putting an immediate end to any speculation about his future. He signed a three-year contract on Friday that will keep him employed until the summer of 2025.

Salah will reportedly earn about £350,000 per week, making him the highest-paid player in the history of the team. With 156 goals, he currently ranks ninth all-time for the Reds and is only 27 goals behind sixth-placed Fowler.

The former Liverpool hero, who made 369 appearances for the Reds during his playing days, believes the contract is a statement and suggests Salah’s intention to cement himself among the greats as a true club legend.
