After making his Liverpool debut, Klopp shares the three words Jayden Danns told him “50 times.”

After Jayden Danns made his senior Liverpool debut on Wednesday night, Jurgen Klopp disclosed the three things that the teenager spoke to him “50 times.”

Before the Luton match, the 18-year-old had never even been included in a first-team matchday squad. However, he was brought on in the final minutes at Anfield when the Reds were comfortably ahead.

After the game, the manager spoke with the media and emphasized how happy he was to be able to offer the young striker his first experience playing senior football.

Through LiverpoolFc.com, Klopp spoke with reporters and said, “I’m so happy that all the kids came on and played.” Jayden Danns’s daughter Dannsy thanked her boss fifty times. That I could offer him that chance makes me very happy. The boys are deserving of it.

Practically speaking, Danns’ arrival was merely Klopp using one of his final changes to help Liverpool complete their most recent Premier League victory, but the circumstances clearly made it more than just a simple late substitution.

Every child advancing through the academy ranks hopes to play for the first team at some point, and the 18-year-old can now look back on his experience playing in a premier league game for one of the largest football teams in the world forever.

Naturally, the striker’s goal is to establish himself as a regular member of the Reds’ lineup and follow in the footsteps of players like Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones, but every professional path begins with a baby step.

Even though other, more practical managers might not have given in to emotion and given Danns his bow just to give him his debut, it’s evident from Klopp’s remarks made after the game that he was more than delighted to fulfill the teenager’s ambition when the opportunity presented itself.

The pair’s heartfelt hug following the final whistle further demonstrated the unique relationship Liverpool’s manager has with his team and the reasons why they will both be deeply missed when he departs at the end of the current campaign.

The eighteen-year-old will, at the very least, always be able to claim that he was given his senior Reds debut by one of the best managers in the team’s history.
