Leeds United, Norwich City and Stoke City among the clubs ‘tracking’ midfielder

The 16-year-old is a highly-rated prospect at Vale Park and was handed his first-team debut last month, in the EFL Trophy against Wolverhampton Wanderers under-21s.

His exploits seem to have caught the eye of Leeds, Norwich, and Stoke, according to TEAMtalk.

The trio is reportedly watching the midfield player, who can also play right back. There are also rumored to be admiring looks from the Premier League, as well as from other Championship clubs.

When Victor Orta was Leeds’ director of football, the team had a practice of hiring a lot of players straight from the academy.

Since his departure, Leeds has not shied away from raiding other academies for talent, even though there has been less focus on young recruitment. Recent examples are the Scottish team of Josh McDonald and Lewis Pirie, who signed from Hamilton Academical and Aberdeen, respectively, last year.

Even though not all of its prospects have lived up to expectations, Leeds has demonstrated in recent years a desire to develop youthful talent. Archie Gray and Crysencio Summerville, among others, have made strides forward, while Cody Drameh and Lewis Bate have failed.

Leeds concentrated solely on bolstering the senior ranks after failing to return to the Premier League the previous season; as a result, youth recruits may be alluring in the next transfer windows.
