Andy Woodman’s side secured their first promotion to the football league with a penalty shootout victory over Solihull Moors, and they are now looking for fresh additions ahead of their historic season.
After signing former Arsenal defender Taylor Foran earlier this week, Bromley appear to be intent on adding more defensive reinforcements for the upcoming season.
Imray on the radar
According to journalist Alan Nixon, Andy Woodman’s Bromley are looking to sign Crystal Palace full-back Danny Imray on a season-long loan.
Despite having other offers, the full-back is allegedly keen in joining the League Two side.
How did Imray fare last season?
Last season, the 20-year-old made 21 appearances in all competitions for Crystal Palace’s U21s, playing as a right-back and right-sided midfielder at youth level.
During that time, Imray scored 11 goals and provided two assists in a Premier League 2 match against Tottenham Hotspur.
He also appeared in the EFL Trophy three times last season, collecting an assist in a 5-2 defeat to League One side Stevenage.
In terms of first-team experience, the defender has yet to play for Crystal Palace, but he has made 32 appearances on loan with National League South club Chelmsford City.
Can Imray make a difference for Bromley?
Regardless of their internal aspirations, Bromley will most likely prioritise ensuring their League Two safety as soon as possible, before shifting their focus to finishing higher.
One way they may accomplish safety is to improve the quality and depth of their current squad, which Imray would very surely do.
Although he has no first-team experience aside from a stay in the Non-League, the fact that he scored double digits last season will almost likely make him an interesting asset for Andy Woodman’s side next season.
