West Brom target in talks with another two clubs ahead of summer switch

West Brom target  is now in talks with Sturm Graz and Udinese, according to Alex Crook.
West Brom will be hoping for another season of battling for a top-six berth.
Last season, the Baggies finished fifth under Carlos Corberan, however they were eliminated from the play-offs in the first round, losing to Southampton in the semi-final.
The Spanish manager’s team was difficult to beat for much of last season, and fans will be hoping for more of the same this season.

Weimann spent the last six months of the campaign at The Hawthorns.

He played 13 games in all competitions, scoring twice and assisting on another two.

The Australian forward only has one goal and one assist in 20 second-tier appearances for Bristol City before joining West Brom.

He is presently a free agent. Weimann is rumoured to be in talks with Sturm Graz, Austria’s best football club, and Udinese in Serie A. However, the Baggies remain interested, and a return to The Hawthorns this summer is not out of the question.

Finding his feet

Last season was a difficult one for the 32-year-old.

In the previous four seasons, he scored 11, 32, 16, 15, and 11 goals while playing for three different clubs.
That kind of form would make him a valuable asset to most second-tier clubs, but whether last season’s performance was a fluke or a harbinger of things to come remains to be seen.
He would bring great expertise to West Brom’s dressing room, and he has recently been around the Austrian squad for EURO 2024.

Starting strong

Corberan’s side will try to test the boundaries this season.

West Brom were close to promotion last season, and they will not want to take a step back this year.

It will be intriguing to see how they perform this season, but a solid start might establish the pace and tone.

They open their Championship campaign with an away trip to Loftus Road against QPR.
