Reading FC has revealed new coaching appointments for the under-21 and under-18 teams.
The Royals have been without an under-21 manager since Noel Hunt took over the first-team after Ruben Selles left in December.
Hunt has been the under-21s manager since 2022, and he led the team to the semi-finals of the Premier League 2 play-offs last season.
The Royals have now named Peter Scott as under-21s manager, with Harrison Gilkes in charge of the under-18s.
Academy Manager Michael Gilkes stated, “We are happy that both Peter and Harrison have agreed to lead our Under 21 and Under 18 teams.
“Peter has been a mainstay in our Academy for almost 25 years, and most recently worked alongside Noel on the Under 21 side that played so well in 2023/24, with several of the players going on to become established First Team regulars this season.
“Harrison has been with the Academy for almost five years and epitomises the fabric of what we aim to develop in not just our athletes, but also our staff members. He will build on Mikele’s tremendous foundation as we continue to forge a road to success for our players.
