“I Want To Vomit” Packers Fans Explode Over Bears Hiring Packers Player (Report)
On Friday, Green Bay fans learnt of a significant coaching hire in the NFC North:
According to various sources, former Packers cornerback Al Harris, who will be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame in 2021, has accepted the position of passing game coordinator and cornerbacks coach with the Bears.
Harris had spent the previous five seasons as a member of Mike McCarthy’s Dallas Cowboys coaching staff. Last season, he was elevated to assistant head coach and also served as defensive backs coach.
Harris served as a coaching intern for the Miami Dolphins in 2012 before joining his former mentor with the Packers in Dallas. He served on the Kansas City Chiefs’ coaching staff from 2013 to 2018.
Of course, he is most known for his tenure as a Pro Bowl cornerback for the Packers, who acquired him via trade from the Philadelphia Eagles in 2003. After five great seasons with the Eagles, Harris played seven years as a starter cornerback for Green Bay.
On November 1, 2009, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin (12) rushed with the football after catching a pass as Green Bay Packers cornerback Al Harris (31) chased him from behind during a game at Lambeau Field. The Vikings won 38-26.
