Pro Bowl Star Declared ‘Perfect Fit’ for Denver Broncos in NFL Free Agency

While the Denver Broncos had the 10th-ranked scoring offence this season, their running offence was a weakness. Sean Payton’s running assault rated 16th in total yards, 21st in yards per carry, and 23rd in rushing touchdowns.
The Broncos are likely to focus on the running back group this offseason. They could even consider a Pro Bowl running back.

Denver Broncos could upgrade running backs by signing Aaron Jones

The Denver Broncos boasted a top-three rush defence, but their rushing offence might be improved.

According to ESPN’s Benjamin Solak, one possible answer would be to sign the greatest running back available in NFL free agency, Minnesota Vikings’ Aaron Jones.
Denver will begin to improve their offence at running back, where their rotation has lacked a consistent grinder capable of handling 15 or more touches per game. Aaron Jones, if he becomes available, would be an excellent fit for a front-loaded three-year contract. If Jones stays in Minnesota, the Broncos might try to lure Rico Dowdle away from Dallas.

Despite being 30 years old, Jones is coming off a career-high 1,138 rushing yards. He also came within 13 yards of setting a new personal high in scrimmage yards.

In other words, the former Pro Bowl back still has plenty of gas in the tank, and coach Payton may be prepared to maximise the outstanding runner/receiver’s abilities. However, the Vikings may want to re-sign Jones because they do not have someone ready to take over at the position.

The Broncos are expected to lose previous second-round pick Javonte Williams to unrestricted free agency, but Jaleel McLaughlin, Audric Estime, Tyler Badie, and Blake Watson will return in 2025.
