Portsmouth and New York City FC are allegedly interested in signing Hearts midfielder .
So far in January, the Jambos have signed strikers Elton Kabangu and Jamie McCart, although outgoings are also likely.
Andres Salazar was the first to depart after his loan from Atletico Nacional was ended, while Kye Rowles is closing close on a £600,000 move to DC United.
Speculation surrounds the futures of Barrie McKay and Yutaro Oda at Tynecastle, but no one expected Devlin to be a likely departure.
Hearts star Cammy Devlin attracting transfer interest
The Edinburgh Evening News reports that Portsmouth of the EFL Championship and New York City FC of the MLS are interested in signing Australian midfielder Devlin.
This is despite Devlin signing a new contract with Hearts until the summer of 2026 only a few months earlier.
Devlin’s contract supposedly includes a £280,000 transfer release clause, which Portsmouth and NYCFC appear eager to exercise.
Portsmouth is also thought to have been watching Devlin for some time and will decide whether or not to make an approach for the Hearts player before the February transfer deadline.
NYCFC’s MLS season begins next month, and Devlin is thought to be high on the club’s shortlist of potential recruits.
Devlin feels at home with Hearts
Devlin only signed to Hearts until 2026 in September, and he has underlined how much he enjoys playing for the Jambos in Edinburgh.
Following the signing of the contract, the 26-year-old stated, “I think everyone knows that this is a location where I feel extremely comfortable.
“I feel at home at Hearts. I am thrilled to be extending and want to get started right away.
“I love Edinburgh, and the club has made me feel really welcome since I arrived. The fans have accepted me as one of their own which when you’ve come from the other side of the world, you really appreciate.”
