Soccer Player Ejected After Fortnite Dance Sparks Fan Outrage

Watford FC forward, was issued a red card after the final whistle for insulting Portsmouth fans with Fortnite’s most infamous dance.
The incident occurred during Watford’s thrilling 2-1 victory at home on December 26, which was clinched by Rocco Vata’s crucial stoppage-time penalty.

However, instead of the game-winning goal, Baah’s post-match theatrics stole the focus.

Fortnite Emote leads to red card on pitch

In the viral video, the player is seen after the match at the away end, surrounded by Portsmouth fans, performing the iconic ‘Take the L’ Fortnite Emote by placing a ‘L’ on his forehead and dancing jubilantly.

Portsmouth’s players and fans, understandably, reacted negatively to the move and pursued him down, resulting in an on-field brawl between the two sides.

The referee then intervened and issued Baah a second yellow card for unsportsmanlike conduct, resulting in a red card and missing his team’s next match.

The rival team’s manager, John Mousinho, wasn’t shy in criticising Kwadwo Baah’s Fortnite antics, calling the dance “unacceptable.” Mousinho stated, “We will never tolerate that. If one of my players did that, their future with the club would be seriously jeopardised.”

Watford boss Tom Cleverley fired back, “Hearing John comment on my players is disappointing,” Cleverley said.

“The way his bench lost control of the game harmed them in the second half. “Our players kept their heads, and that was the difference.”
