The Green Bay Packers face the Miami Dolphins on Thanksgiving Night. Green Bay will host Miami at Lambeau Field in a late November mid-west contest. The forecast for the game calls for a high of 29 degrees that day. A South Miami-based crew will undoubtedly experience culture shock.
Running the ball in chilly weather is an offense’s best friend. Josh Jacobs is once again demonstrating why he is one of the finest in the business at doing just that.
Following the stunning win over San Francisco, he had to talk about his health.
Packers’ RB Josh Jacobs Makes Massive Health Announcement Prior To Dolphins Thanksgiving Matchup
On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers defeated the San Francisco 49ers 38-10, and standout running back Josh Jacobs delivered a tremendous effort. Jacobs had 26 touches for 106 yards and three touchdowns for Green Bay.
Jacobs, a workhorse, stated after the game that he had not scored three running touchdowns in a game since Week 7 of the 2022 season against the Houston Texans with the Las Vegas Raiders. The veteran running back also accumulated 143 yards on 20 carries.
This was only the third time Jacobs had run for 100 yards or carried the ball 25 times this season with the Packers.
According to Ryan Wood of USA TODAY, Jacobs stated after the game that he told the Packers offensive line that he only had one play before scoring his final touchdown because he was leaving the field.
Reporters asked the star running back what was cramping, and Jacobs replied, “Everything.” Wood wondered if Jacobs was prepared to carry 26 times in four days against the Miami Dolphins.
The veteran running back said, “If necessary. If need be, I’ll figure it out.” Given that Jacobs has only exceeded the 20-25 carry barrier three times this season, it would not be surprising if the Packers used Emanuel Wilson/Chris Brooks more on Thanksgiving night.
Wilson had nine carries for 41 yards and Brooks added four for 11 yards in the blowout victory on Sunday.
