Police have questioned a Premier League footballer over allegations of several sex crimes.
The 30-year-old athlete is under investigation for allegedly raping two women and committing a sexual crime against a third.
The player was detained in July 2022. He’s been free to play for his club since then.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated, “Met officers are investigating following a number of reports of alleged sexual offences between 2021 and 2023.”
“A man in his thirties was arrested in July 2022. He has now been interviewed by police on two further occasions while under arrest.
“The inquiry is still underway, and investigators are conducting thorough and exhaustive enquiries. Those who have come forward to police continue to receive assistance from Met officers.
The player, who has consistently denied any misconduct, cannot be recognised due to legal considerations.
