£60 million  Liverpool player has not shown up for training today following rumors that he would miss the Carabao Cup final.

The players who might miss this weekend’s Carabao Cup final have been hinted at by Liverpool.

The Reds will be missing several important players when they meet Chelsea on Sunday. One person who was most likely to miss the match is Dominick Szoboszlai.

Szoboszlai has been sidelined since the end of January due to an injury, so his status has fluctuated. Additionally, a Liverpool video that was broadcast on X this afternoon may contradict Pep Lijnders’ apparent suggestion that the Hungarian would be close to being ready to play against Chelsea.

For Reds supporters, the video that showed the players arriving at the AXA Training Centre earlier today may have had some positive news.

Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah can both be seen cheerful and well-groomed. However, Nunez and Salah’s presence simply serves to emphasize how invisible Szoboszlai is.

Naturally, none of this provides a clear clue as to which of these three players is fit. That will have to wait. But in terms of Liverpool’s No. 8, it’s not very encouraging.

We will undoubtedly catch additional views of Liverpool practicing for the cup final as the afternoon goes on.

We’ll be able to see who showed up and who didn’t in today’s session a little bit better from there.

There are still two days until the game, therefore it is still unclear who will start. In a span of 48 hours, a lot may happen, and things can still alter.

Since Nunez, Salah, and Szoboszlai are all suffering from muscular problems, you would have to conclude that missing today’s practice would probably mean missing Sunday’s match.

Fans will be itching to witness any combination of the three in that regard. Since Szoboszlai had been absent for a bit longer than the other two, it was expected that he might not make it. Simply put, it would be a huge advantage to have him back.

But Liverpool really needs Nunez and Salah. Despite that, the Reds’ offense did not score four goals against Luton Town on Sunday. The Reds’ assault did not perform up to par.

Though Cody Gakpo has received acclaim for “stepping up,” we’re not entirely convinced that he actually did. Either the Uruguayan or the Egyptian should be prepared to take over on Sunday.

They might have to make do with spots on the bench, of course, but that would be sufficient for us. Klopp will be happy as long as they can both contribute and influence the game at some stage.

However, the news of Szoboszlai is disheartening. But don’t write off the £60 million just yet.
