Manchester United have officially bided for Red Bull Salzburg star Benjamin Sesko, a step ahead of Chelsea

Benjamin Sesko will receive the first bid from Manchester United.
According to reports, Manchester United has submitted a formal offer for Red Bull Salzburg attacker Benjamin Sesko.
Future plans for the 19-year-old are now being heavily rumored, with several teams reportedly eager to sign the Slovenian international before the transfer season closes.
Sesko’s agent Elvis Basanovic is thought to have recently met with Salzburg and Man United to explore a potential transfer for the adolescent this month.
Sportklub claims that the 20-time English champions, who are eager to beat out other clubs for the striker’s services, have now presented a firm offer for him.
According to the article, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have also made offers, while clubs like Newcastle United, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig are all thought to be interested.
Sesko has had a strong start to the 2022–23 season for his Austrian side, tallying two goals and one assist in three games across all competitions.
After a breakout 2021–22 season at the club, he has since scored 13 goals and recorded eight assists in 41 games for Salzburg.
The Austrian champions are in a strong position regarding Sesko’s future because of the remaining four years on his Salzburg contract.
It was recently reported that the Red Bulls valued the Slovenian international at £45 million, but it’s not clear if Man United’s offer comes close to that amount.
In light of the rumors surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future and the club’s present lack of options in the final third of the field, Man United is hoping to add another attacker this summer.
Benjamin Sesko will receive the first bid from Manchester United.
Ad Sesko, who is 6 feet 4 inches tall, has previously been likened to Erling Braut Haaland, a forward for Manchester City.
Such analogies energise and inspire me, “Sesko informed the media. “They don’t signify pressure. I’ll pay attention and absorb what I can so I can surpass him. Haaland and I are quite comparable, according to my club teammates, especially in terms of pace. The majority of them even affirm that I am superior to him!”
Numerous “very large teams” reportedly tried to sign Sesko back in 2019, but Salzburg ultimately prevailed, according to Sesko’s agent Basanovic.
Basanovic told SPOX, “We had a lot of offers from pretty big clubs. “Benjamin would have relocated to England or Italy if we had opted to spend the money.
However, we made the decision to consider the Salzburg project and the wider picture. The top clubs in Europe made an effort to acquire him. I had never seen anything like the intense curiosity in him.
Man United will kick off their 2022–23 Premier League season against Brighton & Hove Albion at home on Sunday.
