Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp makes transfer offer to disillusioned Liverpool stars after Mo Salah rampage.

The Liverpool manager has made it clear that if a player has doubts about staying at Anfield after failing to qualify for the Champions League, he will steer them to a new club himself.
Jurgen Klopp has rejected the idea of Mo Salah leaving this summer by insisting ‘Mo loves this club’.
But the Liverpool manager has made it clear that if a player has any doubts about staying at Anfield after failing to qualify for the Champions League, he will guide him to a new club himself.
Salah sparked fears that he was considering a move in the off-season, following a bizarrely worded tweet – smacking of the agent’s influence – on Thursday night that suggested his deep-seated disgust at missing out on top European football.
But Klopp brutally replied: “If ever a player came up to me and said: ‘oh, we didn’t qualify for the Champions League, I have to leave, I would take him to the other club myself.
“I took the key, (and said) ‘get in the car, wherever you want to go, I’ll drive you’.”
Salah’s tweet said he was “totally devastated” at missing out on the Champions League, adding: “There is absolutely no excuse for this. We have failed and we have failed you and ourselves.
With PSG attracting interest from clubs, fans inevitably feared their representatives would consider a transfer, but Klopp responded firmly when asked if he feared Salah might leave:
“I’m not worried, no. I couldn’t read anything to suggest that. Obviously Mo likes being here and Mo was here, he said, apologizing for what” we have done.
“He didn’t say: ‘apologies for what the other guys did, but I had to go with them’…not at all. It is all fine.”
At 31 though Salah has only limited seasons left to play at European football’s top table, and there are others in the squad – with Virgil van Dijk also 31, Alisson 30, and Andy Robertson and Fabinho both 29 – in the same position.
But Klopp was brutal in his put down of any player who wanted to leave because of one season outside the Champions League, and he added with pointed intent:
“That would be something I never could understand. It is like I would say (he puts on a childish voice for emphasis) ‘oh we didn’t qualify for the Champions League, I need to work in the Champions League so I go’.”

PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe could join Liverpool this summer as ‘negotiations are ongoing’
Superstar Kylian Mbappe, 24, is looking to leave his club next summer and Liverpool have already asked for a signing
Liverpool’s alleged target Kylian Mbappe is set to turn down a new contract offer from PSG and leave the club next year.
Yes, it’s that time again. Despite signing a new two-season deal 12 months ago, Mbappe is reconsidering his future in Paris. And according to L’Equipe, this time he is determined to leave the French champions.
As Spanish broadcaster Cadena SER reported, the 24-year-old will reject the option to extend his current contract until 2025. As a result, Mbappé is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract, with plans to leave on a free transfer next summer.
L’Equipe says that while PSG aren’t too worried about this possibility – indeed, they’ve been here before – there is interest elsewhere.
The most surprising thing is that that interest would come from England. Liverpool have been cited as the “most persistent” club historically. The Reds are also alleged to have asked to sign Mbappé at the end of the summer of 2022.
Manchester United are another who could reportedly be considering signing the Frenchman once their takeover is finalised. Finally, as we know, there is another team intrinsically linked to Kylian Mbappé: Real Madrid. However, according to the Cadena SER report, the priorities of the Spanish giants are now elsewhere.
They’ll reportedly return for the man he rejected in 2022. But right now, they’re focused on bringing in Jude Bellingham and developing Vinicius Jr.
Mbappé is preparing for a new saga
Here we go again! It wouldn’t be a transfer window, or the rush to a transfer window, without a story from Kylian Mbappé to Liverpool. It could be that the Reds end up signing the superstar. If he’s available for free next summer rather than the £352m price tag PSG put on him after a row last year [The Athletic] then it’s certainly more of a possibility.
But even then, we just can’t see it happening. At all.
If the reports are to be believed, it won’t be due to a lack of interest on either side. Obviously, if a player like Mbappé is a real possibility, you should be interested.
He has his flaws about him, but he’s one of the most devastating players in the world. From the player’s point of view, his mother is known to be a Liverpool fan.
With Real Madrid appearing to be out of the running for now, there remains a real lack of options for Mbappé should he leave PSG. Would the World Cup winner be attracted to playing for Jurgen Klopp and why shouldn’t he be? It is clear that any kind of move depends on Liverpool returning to the Champions League. But when the summer of 2024 rolls around, hopefully they will be.
So no matter how much pain we feel and how impossible it may seem, we’re going to have to keep an eye on this, aren’t we? It just won’t go away. Until Kylian signs another extension with his hometown club, that’s unlikely to happen
